Pinterest – Creative Virtual Visioning
I haven’t been this excited about new technology for awhile… this is definitely not your traditional social networking platform.
It is all about dreaming, visioning and collecting.
When you sign up, you get virtual boards to “pin” images you find online that you like. Check out my boards here.
Now, if just those words don’t convince you that this is an amazing creative tool, then read on as I describe why I have been so addicted to this site.
Virtual Vision Boards
If you are someone that has ever done a vision board, you will love this. If you are someone that has wanted to do a vision board, but has never finished one, you will love this even more. It is SO easy to use.
I am not being paid by them to rave about it either. 🙂 See my article here about how it is free to join and the fact that they have not monetized it. It is just a great tool to create vision boards.
Borrowing the Dreams of Others
Have you ever looked at something someone else has and thought “I wish I had thought of that” or “I wish I had that”. Well now you can… through Pinterest, one of things I love that helps me stay consciously creative is that I can scroll though the images that others have pinned up on their boards.
Yes, often times the grass does seem greener on the other side. What I love about this feature is that what used to be me wandering aimlessly on the net, now has me wandering through keywords on the Pinterest site to find greener grass.
It is like browsing through the magazines at the grocery store and hoping that the cashier takes a long time because you have a great magazine that you don’t want to buy, but your want to look at. You can look as much as you want, for as long as you want.
For me, I love doing it through my smartphone while I am waiting for my 2 year old to stop singing to herself and finally fall asleep! Also love it when I am stuck in a line up too.
Energy of Abundance
To manifest what you want, your energy has to be a vibrational match to what you want to attract. Through this site, collecting the images on the boards feels like it is already here in my life. It feels like it is already mine or on its way.
Imagine if every dream you could ever dream of, could be yours. That is what Pinterest can create. You dream it, Google it, click image, click pin it and place it onto your board. Abundance at its finest.
As for timing of the delivery…. well, as we know… that is up to the Universe to orchestrate the optimal moment. Your job is to just set the intention. Set it with a pin.
“I can’t draw, I can’t paint, I am not creative” – If that sounds familiar (probably not if you are on my site here) no worries, we are all creative… All being creative means is creating the life you want.
Through this site, like the energy of abundance section, all you need to do is decide what is the life you desire, what do you want to create… and then find the images that reflect that desire.
If you have every thing you want, then make a vision board of all the things you already have and love.
Now if you think this is another time waster… think again…
You might want to read my “Business of Pinning Article” to get some seeds of wisdom, OR the “How can sharing my dreams get me clients” article to learn about the social networking components to this site.
However, let me leave you with this thought, if you don’t have time to think about dreams, passions and…well, what makes your heart sing (aka: obsessions)… you might want to look at your priorities and carve out a little more “me” time.
For the rest of you that just want me to finish this article so you can hop onto the site… when you join direct with the site, you will be put onto a waitlist.
However, to jump the line, if you want an invite, email me at support [at] shaunaharper.com with the subject : Pinterest Invite and I’ll set up.
Can’t wait to see your boards.
If you are already on the site, please follow me, so I can check out your boards!
PS. It is such a great way to get to know your friends and family members too. Also I must say that it is even MORE addictive (and easier) if you have a smartphone.
