Jumping in with Two Feet
This exercise was very therapeutic as I was able to see moments in my life where I crumbled, thought the world was over or I wished it should have been, and how I made it through. And how it’s now a part of the fabric of who I am.
For example, In my 20’s a break up with a guy I moved in with – way too young – was such a huge defining moment in my life. What I loved was when I was allocating percentages of the pie, I couldn’t help laugh out loud at the younger me because I realized it barely got a sliver. When we have more decades behind us, those massive heart breaks are only ripples. Important moment, but not my destiny. It is so true that the universe will alwats dream a bigger dream for you than you can dream for yourself.
As Brene Brown says, “We are wired for struggle and joy and resilience is the path to it.”
