Disconnected – Ask, How can I serve?
Recently I have been quite emotional around my “TIME” on earth and the “What ifs?”… what if this happens or this. What if I never get to make the “impact” or leave the legacy that I always thought I would before my time is up.
As you might of read from my earlier posts, my friend Christine had the rug pulled from under her recently when her 2 year old daughter was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. Then just last week, one of my old school mates, and the close friend of one of my best friends, passed away from cancer at the young age of 37 – three days before her 38th birthday. Exactly the age I am.
I have tried to just “push through” it and not let emotions get involved, but I know it has changed the way I look at things. Then last night, I remembered something I watched on Sunday.
I recently watched the Oprah SuperSoul Sunday with Gabrielle Bernstein, Marie Forleo and Mastin Kipp. I was uplifted and also in awe of their impact. If you haven’t watched it…. It is a must!
In it, Gabrielle said something a long the lines of, “When I feel disconnected, I pick up the phone and ask someone how I can help them?”
This morning I sat there with the same uneasy feeling beginning my long day…. so I sat there and asked, “How can I help? How can I be of service?”
I looked onto my Facebook stream and no word of a lie, the first post was from a friend:
I looked at my schedule and sure enough, in what I thought was a super busy day.. I had 1.5 hours open just where she needed me. What are the CHANCES! Without hesitation I knew this was more than a coincidence… it was a part of the Universal little bread crumbs to say… Trust me… I have your back.
So hopefully, if you are feeling a little uneasy, disconnected to your purpose, unplugged from the Universal flow…ask yourself the question, “How can I help, How can I serve?”
We are all connected.
PS. My entire day rolled with ease and joy… once again reminding me to TRUST!
